Narative Story analysis

In our production we plan to employ a nonlinear narrative to not only emphasize enigma, but also to create verisimilitude (within the aspects of the story that involve intoxication). Our enigma appears to be a climax of a separate story, we say the protagonist inebriated preparing for his journey home. The disequilibrium is him getting into the cab, not that he realises that this is significant event. However, this is the point in which he, if sober, would realise that something isnt right. The recognition comes in much later when he wakes up without knowledge of where he is or what happened. The movie both climaxes and end as we see the antagonist (that 'taxi' driver) walk in with breakfast at which point the protagonist has a flashback that reveals the conversation that took place inside Kerims car.

Our story features two main characters James and Kerim however the story does not feature such explicitly black and white characters as the theorist Propp Exhibits. It could be said to be a hero - villain story however the relationship betwixt the two is not as such. James the hero does not display many hero-like attributes in fact the only way he matches this criteria is that he is a victim, as we know from the start he is a man of vice. Our villain is also not as transparent or even as villainous as your textbook antagonist, he like james does not display many features of his classic character type. In fact Kerim may also seem to be a helper that displays signs of mental instability.
